James Farrior was automatically inducted into the GFL Hall of Fame as part of the 2012 class. He finished his career 10th on the all-time scoring list for LBs. He made the All-GFL team 6 times and his point total from 2004-2010 ranks 3rd among LBs, behind only London Fletcher and Ray Lewis.
Farrior was fortunate to play for a number of successful teams. Though his longest tenure was with the weak Minnesota Mud from 2004-2008, he helped lead them to their best season in 2004 (3rd place in regular season points). Early in his career, he was a minor contributor to the Cincinnati Salamanders' Cup-winning team in 1998 and the Baltimore Blackbirds' division winning team in 2000. In his first year as an NFL starter in 2001, he led the Denver Dinosaurs to a division title, then helped the Pittsburgh Pirhanas to their best season ever (9th in the post-season) in 2003. In 2009, he was re-acquired in a trade by the Salamanders, who went on to win their division and finish 5th in the post-season. He then had a second season with the Blackbirds in 2010, who finished 6th in the post-season.
