Andre Reed was inducted into the GFL Hall of Fame in 2001. Reed spent most of his career with the San Francisco Hippies and New Orleans Crawdads. He was a popular player to pick up in mid-season having been traded for in three different seasons.
Reed's career stats are remarkably similar to Andre Rison and Irving Fryar who were also inducted in 2001. All three had their strongest seasons from 1990-1997 before fading away and retiring after the 2000 season. Reed made 5 all-pro teams and ranks 7th on the all-time WR scoring list.
Though he did play on some good teams, Reed never won the Gregory Cup, coming the closest in 1998 when the Hippies went 11-2 and finished 4th in the playoffs.
