Stanley Richard ("The Sheriff") was inducted into the GFL Hall of Fame in 2000. Richard had a rather short, anonymous career in the GFL, in spite of his 5 consecutive All-Pro seasons (1993-1997). However, the owners he played for will tell you what an asset he was to their teams. His 444 career tackles and 20127 points each place him 7th among safeties on the all-time lists. His 168 return yards in 1994 are the 6th-highest single-season total.
The Sheriff experienced amazing team success, going to the playoffs each of his 8 seasons. Four of those teams were division winners and two of them won the Gregory Cup (LAO '94, ARI '95).
