Junior Seau was automatically inducted into the GFL Hall of Fame following the 2008 season. At the time of his retirement, he was the highest scoring LB in league history. Originally drafted by Chris Orr's Kansas City Deadheads, Seau was best known as the cornerstone of the Seattle/Arizona Mice franchise where he played from 1991-2004. He returned to the Mice in 2007 and again in 2009, making 16 seasons with the same team (a league record). He's among the all-time leaders at the LB position in a number of categories: points (1st), sacks (11th), tackles (2nd), INTs (5th) and return yards (10th). He made the All-GFL team an amazing 8 straight seasons, which included a run of 5 straight 1st-team selections.
As a member of the Mice, Seau was on a number of very good teams. In his first stint with the team, the Mice ranked 2nd in regular season points 4 times and 3rd twice. They won 5 division titles and made the post-season 8 times with 1 Gregory Cup and 4 top-3 finishes. In 2006, he won the Orr Trophy and finished 3rd in the post- season with the Dallas Tornadoes. In 2009, he spent 4 weeks on the Mice roster (with 0 points in 1 start) before being unceremoniously cut in Week 10 to make room for Nic Harris. Perhaps feeling guilty, Mice management added him to their bench in Week 17 as the team was wrapping up its 2nd Cup victory.
