Cornelius Bennett was unanimously inducted into the GFL Hall of Fame in 2001 after missing automatic enshrinement by 18 points. Bennett spent all but one season of his career with the Washington Baboons.
Bennett was an all-pro just 3 times in his career, but his steady numbers year after year rank him 6th all-time in points among LBs. He was a do-it-all LB, ranking high in sacks, tackles, INTs, and fumbles.
Bennett's biggest disappointment in his career would have to be never winning the Gregory Cup. He came very close, leading the Baboons to 2nd place in 1997 and third place in both 1999 and 2000, but he never made it to the promised land.
