Zach Thomas was automatically inducted into the GFL Hall of Fame as part of the 2009 class. He finished his career 8th on the all-time scoring list for LBs. He made the All-GFL team 8 times and in addition to ranking 8th in points by a LB, ranked 5th in tackles.
After being drafted in the 5th round of the 1996 draft by the Buffalo Wings, Thomas went on to spend 9 seasons with the Wings. As a Wing, he went to the post-season 4 times. That would be the last of his team success, as he was left unprotected in 2005 and drafted by the Cleveland Coyotes, where he would spend the rest of his career.
