The GFL was founded in 1990 by 7 men with a vision. The 2 men who originally dreamed up the league are the only original founders still remaining today: Jim Detwiler and Rusty Gregory. The other founders were Chuck Gregory, Wes Case, Chris "Fathead" Orr, Chris “Big Cat” Marquard and Bob "Little Kitty" Marquard.
